Chiropractic Twitter Marketing - How Twitter Can Help Your Chiropractic Practice

Chiropractic Twitter Marketing - How Twitter Can Help Your Chiropractic Practice
By Kevin Doherty

Twitter and social media in general is all the rage right now for service-based professionals to build a large local or national following.

As a chiropractor, it is certainly true that social media and twitter can help you build a lucrative practice, but only if you keep a few key principles in mind. I have found these points to be essential to leveraging sites such as twitter effectively; otherwise the inevitable outcome is that the doctor feels like they are wasting their time.

Here are the top 4 twitter chiropractic marketing tips to keep in mind:

1. Delegate mundane tasks-- Use a virtual assistant or an automated software tool to build your twitter following. It is not a wise use of your time to sit behind the computer spending hours following people on twitter. You still want to spend time on twitter networking and building relationships, just don’t waste your time doing things that can be done in an automated fashion.

2. Be consistent and systematic- To see results on twitter, you need to follow at least 3-500 people every day, knowing that about 30% of the people you follow will follow you back. Don’t just hop on twitter once a week expecting great results; use it every day to build your network.

3. Be targeted in who you follow-- You want to follow people in your local area primarily. To do this, go to http://www.nearbytweets.com. This is how you can get a lot of exposure in your local area.

4. Be generous and offer value- I can’t say this enough: Social media is NOT a platform where you go to sell your services in the traditional sense. You can’t pitch your practice to people on twitter and expect people to flock through your doors. You need to show people that you are interested in them by offering them value and connecting with their needs.

Twitter marketing for chiropractors is a big subject, but these tips should help you make this site much more effective for your marketing efforts.

Twitter Followers For Marketing - Why Quality is More Important Than Quantity

Twitter Followers For Marketing - Why Quality is More Important Than Quantity
By Nick Aylett

There are many products on the market released by internet marketers looking to profit from the growing phenomenon that is Twitter. Many of these follow the exact same blueprint which is get as many Twitter followers as you can each day and then just repeat the process. Just like with Facebook, there is a belief that the more followers you have the more popular you are, however with Twitter it is so easy for anyone to follow you that this is certainly not the case.

Many of these people will be low value followers, due to them not being targeted, therefore they will never be active for you and, quite honestly, don’t even care about you.

To compare this to an email list it is the same as a user joining your mailing list to get something for free, but then never actually reading another one of your emails. The same goes with Twitter and many people who follow probably don’t read your Tweets.

The bottom line is that it comes down to the quality of your Twitter followers. It is better to have 1000 targeted followers who interact and read your tweets, rather than 10,000 low value followers. Sure, having a large number of followers may make you look important and I’m sure the more followers you get the more your conversions will rise, but don’t assume that just because your list is rapidly growing then sales will also.

Remember low value followers are extremely easy to get, simply by looking at other peoples followers and adding them, but don’t assume that they will pay any attention to what you have to say. It is much better to get a targeted group of followers and then you will find your list much more responsive.

Facebook Verses Twitter

Filed under: Twitter — admin @ 6:02 am

Facebook Verses Twitter
By Cynthia Bachman

Facebook and Twitter are both social networking sites where you can keep track of friends and family. A few years ago, Facebook tried to buy out Twitter but the deal fell through. Twitter wanted more money than Facebook was offering. Since Facebook could not buy Twitter, they did the next best thing: they started a Twitter-style update system. Facebook subsequently became much more popular and gained new users.

Facebook and Twitter still get along though. There may come a time when Facebook does purchase Twitter. Twitter is not much of a money maker, so unless this changes purchase by Facebook may be likely.

Twitter has a huge number of users; its growth has been amazing. They don’t monetize their success though Ð they have a lot of users, but no profit to speak of. This can only continue so long, a business that is not making any money will not stay open. This situation may make Twitter desperate enough to accept an offer from Facebook that they would have rejected a few years back.

On the other hand, Facebook is making strong profits. It uses targeted advertising to generate revenue. The site may have enough money to make a very attractive offer to Twitter in the future.

The Twitter craze is unusual, in that it is a constantly updated chorus of many people all ÒtweetingÓ small events of their day and quick thoughts. But does anyone really need to know what we are doing in a regularly updated format? Most of us aren’t celebrities with lives that are continually newsworthy.

Telling everyone about the boring little events of your day like what you had for lunch and what you are getting at the grocery is not interesting. Many people complain about bores who fill up their Twitter feed or their Facebook News Feed with boring and useless information.

It would be wise of Twitter to take the next offer when it comes instead of waiting around for more. The Twitter craze won’t last forever, and when it is over there will be no more money to be made. Eventually, the interest in the minutiae of other peoples’ lives will fade. For now, though, Facebook and Twitter have the opportunity to make money and should do so.

Twitosophy - A Twitter Follow Philosophy

Filed under: Twitter — admin @ 6:01 am

Twitosophy - A Twitter Follow Philosophy
By Liana Moore

In honor of our 1-year anniversary (March 30, 2009) of interacting on Twitter I thought I’d examine the stages of following that we’ve gone through, and our follow philosophy. If you aren’t on Twitter this information will have no value to you, but if you are perhaps it will help you form your own philosophy on following, or strategy on how to manage information overload.

Newbie

We followed anyone we knew, or who came to our attention through top lists or other posts, or who followed us. We were very excited whenever someone followed us, and a bit nervous as to whether we were saying something of value so that they would keep on listening. We were able to listen to everything that each of our followers had to say. We were able to read the bios, last few tweets and visit the website of everyone before following them back. And, we followed everyone back unless they appeared to be a porn or spam suspect. During this stage we found some great people to follow who continue to inform us on new trends and technology platforms.

Novice

We were following enough people that we couldn’t read all of their tweets and had information overload. We wondered, how do you sort through all of this? So we started being more selective in whom we followed back. We only followed back if that person had said something recently that was of specific interest to us. We probably missed out on a few good people here.

Interactor & Realist

We started responding to people via direct message, and having conversations. We realized that there is a perceived value to the number of followers that you have and that following back is a gesture of thanks for the follow. And, around this time Twitter came out with lists. We also discovered TweetDeck (and a few other Twitter tools). Now we could go back to our philosophy of following everyone who found us interesting enough to follow (except suspect spam and porn accounts) and organize the information in a way to sort through it. We do not read every tweet from every person that we follow, but we do read most tweets from people on our lists, and we check the main stream and add people we find interesting to lists as they say something of interest to us.

We discovered that there were some spammers who slipped through the cracks. These people would follow us, not because they were interested in what we had to say but with the hope that we would follow us back. Then when we did, they would unfollow us. Not nice. So, we found some tools to clean up our lists every week or so. We unfollow and block those folks.

We have attended conferences, webinars and made new connections through those. Hash tags provide a great tool for following conversations and learning from others who have similar interests. It also enables you to revisit a conversation and continue it after the fact.

We’ve shared our knowledge, and gained new knowledge. We’ve also garnered some other random information. I have a new taco recipe that I am looking forward to trying out thanks to a conversation with a fellow tweep.

What will the next stage of our Twitter experience be? What are your thoughts? Have you dealt with following differently? Leave us a comment or let us know at http://www.twitter.com/KaleidosMktg.

Twitter Marketing Strategies - Are These 4 Mistakes Costing You Money?

Filed under: Twitter — admin @ 5:37 am

Twitter Marketing Strategies - Are These 4 Mistakes Costing You Money? by Paul Friar

Twitter is an extremely popular and lucrative social networking site and is a great tool in your fight for traffic. Millions of people are now using twitter to converse on many different subjects all around the world, constantly. But before you start marketing on Twitter there are some mistakes that could cost you money if you don’t avoid making them yourself.

1. Not using your own picture on your profile.

Although some twitter users do not use their own picture, they are missing out on potential followers because a real picture helps people connect with you and makes a good impression. Your own face on your profile allows others to know that you are a real person, not just a business trying to make money online.

2. Automatically sending direct messages to new followers that are sales messages.

This guarantees you will lose followers as quickly as you gained them. Only ever send out friendly, welcoming direct messages and not the type that tries to get your new follower to immediately buy something you are selling. It always puts people off, very few follow the link ion the message, and worse you might be losing followers by doing this.

It is possible that some will follow the link and purchase your product, but consider the overall cost of all those followers you have just lost. You get sick of salesmen, and so do your twitter followers, so don’t be just another salesman. Instead just send a message that thanks them for following you.

3. Trying to get lots of followers without anything decent to post.

It is going to take you some time to grow your list of followers, so you have to be patient. You will not get many followers when all you are posting is that you are looking forward to using twitter, and those types of messages. If you have nothing of value to post yourself than simply retweet the valuable content of your niche market competitors. This is a great way of getting visitors to your profile, as people always like to see who is retweeting. Try and get yourself included in a discussion of others within your market.

4. Never send out one sales tweet after another.

If all you ever do is advertise your business all the time, without posting any other content type, then your followers will quickly get tired of this and stop following you. Think about this, why would anyone want to follow someone who only ever sells stuff and has nothing else of interest to say?

Twitter is for humans, not computers, so be friendly and do not over promote your business. Limit sales or advertising tweets to 10% of tweet content and keep the rest educational and informative. Try and post content that you would like to see yourself if the roles were reversed.

Although all this is mostly common sense, there are some twitter marketing strategies which are more complex, and perhaps best left to professional marketing automation products. These are not free, but the professional can see how to recoup such marketing expenditure in minutes when these twitter marketing strategies are in use.

Twitter: A Playground For Email Marketers

Filed under: Twitter — admin @ 5:36 am

Twitter: A Playground for Email Marketers by Debbie A. Everson

A recent post from the official Twitter Blog tells of how much the number of tweets has grown in the past years, minus spam. From 5,000 tweets daily in 2007, to a sudden leap to 300,000 the following year, and a huge 2.5 million messages in 2009. The bottom line today: an average of 600 tweets every second!

While there are no conclusive breakdown of figures to explain that immensity, one is left with a feeling that if the law of statistics and probably do not exclude Twitter, then this social media behemoth is indeed a rich goldmine just waiting to be tapped by savvy e-mail marketers.

With all the world using social media, it’s an easy step for e-mail marketers to integrate their campaigns with Twitter. Despite its 140-character limitation, and the low-key “thin” APIs, the elements are already in place that allows e-mail marketers to wage a successful campaign here.

Wearing Two Marketing Hats in Twitter

Unlike traditional email campaigns, many marketers may still be in the dark of how to go about integrating email campaigns in the Twitterdom. They may scratch their heads because of the alien nature of the social media service when compared with traditional email systems.

After all, the messaging system here is a far cry from traditional email. There are short tweets instead of multi-paragraphed messages. There are text-based posts rather than graphic-rich communications. Subscriptions here are of the form of followers and following. And most importantly, messages here are sent and received in “real-time”.

The last characteristic is an important difference when conducting the marketing campaign, because it urges e-mail marketers to evolve in order to tap into Twitter’s immense customer base. The nature of communication in Twitterdom is more suited for customer relationship-building — it is active and two-way. Users participate through questions and feedbacks, contrary to emails which simply park the message on inboxes and wait for what happens. As such, marketers must learn to “listen” to customers to deliver the campaign suited for their specific preferences.

Integrating Twitter with E-mail

E-mail marketers must go the roundabout way in the Twitterdom to conduct their campaigns. It’s all about luring customers with interesting tweets that link to email sign-ups, and emails that link to Twitter. Here are some ways to do this:

1. Create useful tweets with links to the full article’s landing page. In the landing page, there can be an option to sign up to get the full version of the information. If the information is valuable enough, Twitter followers can be made instant email subscribers in this manner.

2. Create Twitter pages for every products or services offered, for fine-grained user segmentation that allows delivery of better-targeted campaigns.

3. Dedicate an account solely for customer support, and man them with qualified personnel to handle customer questions, requests and feedbacks.

4. Promote the Twitter account on other marketing channels, for example, as a signature in e-mail campaigns, a footer in newsletters, or a website link, or by quoting customer tweets in other social media accounts.

This unique nature of real-time social media services like Twitter urges e-mail marketers to re-think their ways and perspectives in order to come up with cross-channel marketing campaigns. Failure to do so is a big loss and a denial to tap into a huge customer base all ripe for the picking.

Would Twitter Encourage A Charge for Making Friends? by Sandyvault

Though money is the ultimate aim of building any website or settlement of any profession, the establishment of Twitter was not for this reason. Now it’s a common eagerness in almost everyone to know how Twitter can earn funds easily. Nowadays, everyone wants to make on the universal arena, the main question takes place “Can we get good friends through paying for them?” “Would Twitter charge from us for friends?”

Now Twitter is going to offer its wonderful services to make friends from all over the world through paying for them procedure. To begin such an excited service, Twitter is firm to build some suggestions adequate high-flying in the user knowledge. Moreover, it’s going to improve the excellence of free-of-cost references. Though these references are not able to attract all users in present conditions, they would prove amazing for them with the passage of time. The concept of providing service to make friends on behalf of some charges lets user think what is special in this offer?

In fact, folks don’t have so much time to stay anymore to find out the reasons why they should go with Twitter to make friends on a charging process. However, Twitter can prove a good platform for bloggers to search new friends for new scopes. In present times, Twitter has become more and more popular and so, the idea of making money through paying for friends doesn’t look a source of riches. In fact, people should think differently and special about this wonderful step of Twitter that is taken for sake of people.

Moreover, time will disclose what the new step of Kevin Thau brings for users! We can only hope for the best and expect something an exciting model in coming time that is not far from us. It’s also a great point to think whether people would like to spend some money in seeking friends while they can make friends without paying anything. Since the twitter is a renowned service provider, which takes care of users’ interests rather than its own. It can be anticipated that new launch in friendship field will also be rocking and advantageous for people who are regular visitors of the site.

Lastly, it’s not a good idea to pay for friends and I don’t think that Twitter has any sense of making money behind the new plan. So, it would be better to wait and watch the results that would be visible for everyone in coming times!

Mlm Secrets: Has Twitter Lost That Lovin’ Feeling??

MLM Secrets: Has Twitter Lost That Lovin’ Feeling?? by Sue Collier

I didn’t understand Twitter when I first used it! But I plodded onward and within days was lovin it! Quick and easy to chat to people all over the world. Nice short comments; nothing complicated. Adding friends is child’s play. I soon built up the numbers. It was bound to help my home business. Which of course it did. I regularly had people following my links to my web pages! Great.

However, recently I have lost interest in it. You see, it started to become a bit of a bore. The bots and spammers had taken over. Every Tweet was a link. No-one talked anymore. I still went on, but soon wandered off somewhere else.

Well, now I found someone to sort it out! TheTwitCleaner! He’s a very nice man who will get rid of all the rubbish for you! Your account will not get closed down either, because he only unfollows a few at a time! Because Twitter closed down all the tools who would unfollow all the people who did not follow you back. But TheTwitCleaner does a few everyday, so you don’t get in trouble. He will show you pictures of all the people and explain why he thinks you should stop following them. Such as 85% links, no interaction.

Its entirely up to you who you want to get rid of and who you don’t, then he will remove some each day. I only had to pay $5 as I have about 7,000 followers, but I think it is free if you only have a few followers. Bargain!

I think actually that I have not used Twitter correctly myself. Just like all social media sites, you need to be social. You must interact with others. And definitely stop worrying about the numbers. Like me, the majority of people who come on Twitter add as many followers as they can as quickly as they can. This, in hindsight, is totally wrong. Because what you are really looking for if you have a small business, is quality, targeted people. Clearly if you want to get results from Twitter, your followers must be interested in your product or service.

It’s like trying to sell meat to a vegetarian!

I for one, am going back to the way I was when I first used Twitter. I shall be retweeting again. I will be retweet links for other (nice!!) business owners. Maybe you think that is crazy, why would I help other people? If another person retweeted your links to their followers, what would you do?? Of course, you would probably reciprocate! Exactly.

I will also ask questions and offer help and advice. Even freebies. I will do whatever I can to give value to others. And thank people, when they retweet or say something nice about you!

Let’s make Twitter a lovely place to be once again, where we can all network and have fun together!
